While this is a great chart to compare two ranks, I never really like how it presents. When there are multiple lines, things get more difficult to follow. What I really want is to create to straight lines the deviate from the end points. Example below
While it looks very similar, the End Nodes (In my opinion) make it easier to identify where the Dims are positioned in either Rank. I like the way this presents.
Creating this is actually pretty simple.
1. After you setup the initial Slope Chart, Create a Copy of the Two Measures you are using.
You can do this by right clicking on the Measure and selecting Duplicate.
Once you have the Two Measures Created, Drag them to your Measure Values Card, Between the Measures already there, so that the Duplicated Measures are next to the originals.
Now we have a nice Slope Chart with those straight lines on the end.
If you wanted to, you could even change the Position of the Rank Titles from the Bottom to the Top, by Going to Analysis -> Table Layout -> Advanced
And unchecking Show Innnermost Level at the Bottom. This will give you nice headers above the chart, for a more seamless look.
